TribeHired has successfully acquired and integrated HUBBA Hired’s recruiting business for an undisclosed amount, TechSauce reports.
HUBBA Hired was part of a successful 3 month accelerator program within HUBBA, Bangkok’s leading co-working space and community. The company’s other services include venture capital networking, business consulting and business matching. Currently, HUBBA Hired is hiring for many tech companies, including Line, The Ascend Group and Grab, with over 700 positions in progress.
“We know from our own experience that hiring is the single biggest challenge for any startup, especially in emerging markets.”
“This exciting next step will bring the expertise of the HUBBA Hired team coupled with TribeHired’s already proven and effective platform, and really challenge the industry in a meaningful way,” said John Thornton, Head of Recruitment at HUBBA Hired.
TribeHired was interested in HUBBA Hired’s business model, one that didn’t exist before in the Southeast Asian region. The program also saw a 300% growth rate in the number of placements over a short period of 3 months. HUBBA Hired managed to perfect the existing ‘Talent Acquisition Service’ model within 12 months. This expertise, combined with TribeHired’s platform will create a plug-in for the team to directly connection with the Line managers to produce faster results.
Hubba Hired, under the TribeHired family will make it a regional player, with a presence in 4 cities.
With this acquisition, we believe we can fulfill the vision of supporting local startups to an even greater extent, with the expansion of helping with recruitment needs through a technology platform,” says Amarit Charoenphan, Group CEO of HUBBA.
TribeHired and HUBBA Hired will continue to provide high quality candidates while reducing the time to hire, to create a plug-in for hiring managers and recruiters to build effective partnerships, and to challenge the current recruitment model. TribeHired also has plans to grow from its existing 4 cities (Bangkok, Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur) , to 6 cities over the next year.
The Thailand team will be managed by John Thornton as Country Manager, and based in HUBBA’s Discovery HUBBA, in the Siam Discovery shopping complex.
