1. Zilingo raises $17 M Series B for expansion into Indonesia 

The latest round of funding was led by Burda Principal Investments and Sequoia Capital India and will be used to increase the the company’s supply base.

Zilingo’s revenue has grown 10 fold and it has added over 5,000 merchants across its platform in the past 12 months.

The company last raised $8 million in late 2016 and $2 million the year before.

2. Indonesia’s M Cash to announce IPO with the goal to raise $22M 

It will make the M Case the second Indonesian startup to launch IPO. The company plans to release 25% of new shares.

The company also intends to use 60% of the newly raised funding as working capital, 30% as capital expenditure, and the rest for other necessities.

3. Beijing joins major Chinese cities to forbid bike-sharing services  

Following the recent ban in Wuhan, Beijing will become the 12th city to have halted bike-sharing services.

An official reports that the 15 bike rental startups operating in Beijing run a combined 2.35 million bikes in the capital.

Leaving limited opportunity in major Chinese cities, this may explains why both Mobike and Ofo are expanding aggressively to global markets.
