Here’s what you should know:

1. IKEA extend its reach in Indonesia with new distribution center 

In Indonesia, the Swedish furniture giant IKEA has opened an ecommerce distribution center in the East Java capital, Surabaya.

Shoppers can purchase IKEA products online and pick up their items from the distribution point. Within the first week, it already had at least 500 orders.

This location is IKEA’s fourth ecommerce distribution points in Indonesia, the retailer also plans to open a second store at East Jakarta within the next few years.

2. Alibaba outruns Amazon with $472B market value 

Alibaba regained its title of the biggest ecommerce company as its shares rose over 1.2%, bringing its market value to $472.1 billion.

Meanwhile, Amazon’s market value drop to $471.9 billion as the company’s shares declined 0.87%.

Analysts credited Alibaba’s success to a strong performance this year, with net profit jumped 96% to over $2.1 billion YoY as announced in June.

3. Thailand’s Saha Group boosts online sales, invests in logistics and warehouses 

Thailand’s top consumer goods manufacturer Saha Group expects its sales to improve next year as the economy’s performance picks up.

The group also aims to boost its online sales to 10% over the next year after partnering with Lazada and committed to injecting over $60 million in ecommerce’s warehousing and logistics over the year.

One of its projects will be a 21-story smart warehouse of 70,000 square meters located near Suvarnabhumi Airport which expected to finish by April 2018.
