L’Oréal teams up with Lazada to offer next-day delivery service

The beauty giant announces a partnership with Lazada which will allowL’Oréal to leverage Lazada’s warehouses and logistics network to offer next-day delivery to metro cities starting June this year.

L’Oréal will also work on features such as in-app live streaming as well as launching products exclusive to Lazada customers as well as new search features into the app to allow consumers to easily find L’Oréal products.

Indonesian government has enforced regulation that see the increase in tariff rates for ride-hailing companies

The regulation that has been in the framework since March this year was implemented starting May 1, 2019, in five cities including Jakarta (Jabodetabek), Bandung (West Java), Yogyakarta, Surabaya (East Java) and Makassar (South Sulawesi).

Besides tariff adjustment, the regulation also requires ride-hailing firms to provide safety features to their passengers and stipulation that the minimum tariff should take into account a motorcycle taxi’s operational cost.

Malaysia to see 50% increase in online shopping during Ramadan month

Online shopping transactions in Malaysia are expected to increase as high as 50% in activity and numbers as Ramadan approaching and Malaysians prepare for the celebration of Hari Raya.

The Malaysian Reserve (TMR) reported that retail sales for the seasonal Hari Raya festivity jumped 30% last year, driven by shoppers maximizing the consumption levy absence following the general election conclusion.
