Go-Jek launches in-app chat feature, allowing users to chat with each other

Go-Jek rolled out an in-app feature for its users, allowing them to message their friends on one-one-one chat or create groups with up to 100 people.

The feature also integrated with Go-Pay, its mobile wallet, so users can split bills, and transfer or request Go-Pay credit.

The company is in the race with Singapore’s Grab to become Southeast Asia’s super-app, not unlike WeChat in China.

TechCrunch reported the exit of Honestbee CEO Joel Sng after the company paused its operations in four countries due to financing problem.

The startup is in the process of securing funding and reportedly in talks to sell its business including with Grab and Go-Jek in recent weeks.

Thai startup Choco CRM attaints investment from Krungsri Bank VC

Krungsri Bank’s VC arm Krungsri Finnovate announced its undisclosed investment in a series A round of Thai customer relations management (CRM) startup Choco CRM. The startup provides SMEs with its CRM and POS solutions.

Krungsri Finnovate has a track record of investing in fintech startup, previous investments including to unicorn Omise, Finnomena, Baania, and Silot.
